    Siemens Government Technologies is looking for a Senior Digitalization Engineer with a specialized focus on integrating diverse enterprise systems into a common data framework. This role is essential for enabling end-to-end data interoperability across business, spatial, engineering, and operational domains. The successful candidate will lead system integration and automation initiatives that underpin our digital twin, smart facility, and asset lifecycle strategies.

     

    As a Senior Digitalization Engineer, you will develop and implement successful facilities digitalization projects, build strong relationships with customers, and build a team to advance the Siemens One Tech approach and drive growth. You must have a proven track record of accountability and accomplishments in a diverse, technical environment. Additionally, you must have the ability to create long-lasting relationships with clients, identify and capture adjacent business opportunities, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    •Design and implement a federated data model linking ERP, GIS, BIM, CMMS, BAS, IWMS, PM, and EDMS platforms.

    •Integrate geospatial and engineering data sources from systems including SAP, Oracle Financials, ArcGIS, Autodesk Revit, IBM Maximo, Siemens Desigo CC, and others.

    •Build Python-based automation workflows and APIs to streamline data extraction, transformation, and delivery across platforms.

    •Ensure interoperability using standards such as IFC, BACnet, OPC, CityGML, IndoorGML, and modern geospatial APIs.

    •Lead projects related to digital twin development, asset condition modeling, and building energy/resource optimization.

    •Support GIS-BIM integration for facilities and infrastructure, improving operational data access and analytics.

    •Collaborate across engineering, operations, and IT teams to implement sustainable and scalable data practices.

    Requirements:

    Education:

    • Bachelors in Geomatics, Geographic Information Science, or a related discipline

    Enterprise Systems & Platforms:

    •Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle Financials, IFS or Infor

    •Expertise in GIS systems such as: ArcGIS, CityGML, IndoorGML, Mapbox, or Oracle Spatial

    •Expertise in BIM/Building Geometry such as: Autodesk Revit, Bentley AECOsim, Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Tekla, IFCs

    •Familiar in Space Management products such as: (CAFM/IWMS): TRIRIGA, ARCHIBUS, Planon, Manhattan Familiarity with Building Automation and Control systems and communication protocols.

    •Ability to integrate CMMS platforms such as: IBM Maximo, eMaint, AssetWorks, TMA, Accruent

    Technical Competencies:

    •Strong Python programming for geospatial, data wrangling, and automation tasks

    •Experience with GDAL, GeoPandas, Rasterio, FME, QGIS, and large-scale HPC processing

    •Understanding of API development, JSON-based configurations, and system-to-system communication

    •Familiarity with AWS, SQL, SLURM, and Bash scripting

    •Experience with US Federal Government projects, contracts, policies, and procedures.

    •Proficient in MS Office suite applications, Salesforce, and web or cloud-based software applications such as SharePoint.

    •Demonstrated leadership skills in managing multiple projects with multi-disciplinary teams

    •Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex issues and progress to executives and consulting with C-level clients

    •Strong relationship management, ability to build alliances with customer stakeholders and internal Siemens technology partners.

    •Excellent organizational skills, handle complex and politically charged issues, and negotiate with attention to detail

    Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

    •M.S. in Geomatics, Geographic Information Science, or a related discipline

    •7+ years of combined experience in digital engineering, GIS, facility management, or infrastructure data integration

    •Proven leadership in cross-disciplinary teams delivering projects to federal, municipal, or institutional clients

    •Demonstrated success in integrating 3D city models and spatial datasets for planning, sustainability, or energy analytics

    The salary range for this position is $161,100.00 to $200,000.00. An annual incentive target also is part of the compensation package for this position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location
