Pay Rate: Hire rate $21.75, 6 Months $22.11, 1 year $22.76

Job Responsibilities

1. Keep the entire ground, including lawns, parking lots, sidewalks & other surfaced areas free of debris & trash at all times

2. Maintain perimeter fences & gates in good working condition

3. Remove all trash from Jennie-O Turkey Store containers in the parking lots & locations surrounding the plant & office daily

4. Maintain the surfaced parking lots in good, useable condition

5. Primary responsibility for snow & ice removal from all parking lots, sidewalks & other surfaced areas

6. Must monitor weather conditions and be available as needed at any time

7. Maintain mechanical integrity of all yard equipment

8. Conduct weekly P.M.'s

9. Become proficient in the duties (but not limited to) outlined in the essential functions

10. Must be able to work any other shift as required & every other Saturday 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.

11. Regular hours are Monday – Friday 12 :00 p.m. -8:30 p.m., can be seasonally adjusted.

Minimum Qualifications

***** Must have or acquire a Jennie - O Turkey Store bobcat license

***** Must have acquire a Jennie - O Turkey Store forklift and handjack license

***** Ability to safely handle riding & push lawn mower, string trimmer & yard vacuum cleaner. ability to handle a large yard sweeper

***** High school diploma or equivalent GED

***** Ability to work without supervision, highly motivated, strive for high level of performance

***** Must have a state of Wisconsin driver's license

***** PHYSICAL: Ability to work in any weather conditions

***** Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently, ability to bend, reach

Preferred Qualifications

***** Four years grounds & equipment experience

***** Ability to work 10 + hours overtime in a week, when required

***** Ability to train eligible candidates for bobcat, forklift, & handjack licensing

***** Ability to conduct multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

***** Ability to provide assistance to the facilities maintenance staff
