UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Patient Services Representative to support the office in Wexford.
Weekend availability required to support the hours of operation.
Responsibilities:
+ **Patient Interaction:** Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
+ **Scheduling:** Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
+ **Support:** Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
+ **Technology:** Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
+ **Financial Advocacy:** Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
+ **Compliance:** Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
+ **Admin Tasks:** Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
+ Completion of high school or equivalent.
+ Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills preferred.
+ Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred.
+ Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
+ Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
