    Koniag IT Systems is seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating responsive, user-friendly web applications and stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in web development. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects while contributing to our company's continued growth and success.

    Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

    The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites and web applications, from layout to function according to client specifications. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

     

    + Design and development of application based on the use case and requirement documents and unit test the application code, debug and create installation and implementation procedures for the web-based applications.

    + Work with the test and requirements team to troubleshoot and analyze the scope and define the application functionalities meeting business user needs.

    + Develop and maintain responsive websites and web applications that meet business requirements

    + Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices

    + Create website layout/user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS/JavaScript practices

    + Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle

    + Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software

    + Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

    + Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

    + Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends

    + Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing

    + Ensure all web applications meet accessibility compliance requirements

    Education and Experience:

    Required:

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

    + Web Development, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) or an Associates Degree with 6 years experience or a High School diploma or GED with 8 years experience

    + 5+ years of experience in web development

    + Strong portfolio demonstrating web development projects

    Required Skills and Competencies:

    + Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles

    + Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices

    + Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

    + Experience with testing and debugging processes

    + Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices

    + Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

    + Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance (TS/SCI).

    Desired Skills and Competencies:

    + Experience with back-end development languages

    + Understanding of database technologies (Oracle, SQL, etc.)

    + Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies

    + Knowledge of UI/UX design principles

    + Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

    + Experience working in environments of various classifications

    + Knowledge of web security best practices

    + Experience in government contracting environment
