    At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a pharmacy technician to join our team.

    The primary responsibility of Pharmacy Tech is:

    * Prepares intravenous solutions and admixtures; must be able to identify variations in medication dosage forms, volume and dosing

    * Maintains inventory and billing related to medications and related supplies

    * Stocks automated dispensing machines and delivers medications throughout VRH and its satellite locations

    * Aids in training new employees

    * Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and CQI activities

    * Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/ healthcare errors.

    * Complies with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces

    An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

    * High School diploma or equivalent

    * Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred

    * One (1) year related pharmacy experience preferred

    * High integrity, able to follow procedures

    * Ability to be a self-motivated learner

    * Exhibits professionalism at all times
