    Senior P& L Analyst: Nat Gas & Power - Hedge Fund

     

    Our client a Greenwich based Hedge Fund continues to build out their physical energy trading business. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting risk management activities within the energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of commodities trading and market risk principles.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze daily profit and loss (P& L) reports and provide detailed insights to stakeholders.

    • Monitor trading risk exposure and ensure compliance with established risk limits.

    • Evaluate pricing mechanisms and position-keeping strategies to optimize portfolio performance.

    • Collaborate with traders and product control teams to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.

    • Perform risk assessments on derivatives and hedging strategies related to natural gas and power.

    • Assist in implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.

    • Provide recommendations to improve trading processes and risk management frameworks.

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commodities P& L with exposure to Energy is ideal

    • Strong knowledge of derivatives trading and hedging strategies.

    • Familiarity with natural gas & power markets and pricing structures.

    • Proficiency in analyzing P& L reports and trading risk metrics.

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field with top greades is preferred
