1st Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
This sight will be closing in** **~** **2 years. Relocation assistance to and from Puerto Rico is available.
What you will do:
As the Senior Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex chemical processing operations, ensuring quality standards are met, actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives, as well as the following below:
+ Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment, including reactors, mixers, distillation columns, and filtration systems, following established Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Perform in-process quality checks, collect samples, and analyze data to ensure product quality meets specifications.
+ Identify and resolve process deviations, equipment malfunctions, and potential safety hazards promptly.
+ Accurately record production data, batch records, and other relevant documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
+ Work with multiple groups in an effort to help streamline any manufacturing process issues.
+ Leverage technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
+ Support installation, validation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required.
+ Ensure that documentation of processes and operations is in place and completed such that a detailed understanding of the manufacturing process is recorded and enables further improvements, where required or possible.
+ Operate within a culture of continuous improvement and through discussion with line management implement any successful proposals.
Required Qualifications:
+ High School Education or GED equivalent.
+ 3+ years of experience in Medical Device Field or relevant work experience
+ Travel Percentage: 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate Degree or higher in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related technical field.
+ Bilingual in Spanish
+ 1+ years working in a Good Practice laboratory environment.
+ Experience with common laboratory equipment such as balance, and graduated cylinders.
+ Proficiency in reading specification & schematic drawings, interpretation of equipment manuals.
