Manufacturing Production Lead II

Perform various manufacturing duties as required to ensure the team meets all goals and objectives as it relates to the business unit. The MPL II will oversee a team of frontline employees who are responsible for processes to build multiple product lines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Expose, document and drive resolution to problems through the Daily Management discipline.
+ Will facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training to teams and peers, interact with internal and external customers with respect to process updates, interruptions in service and other pertinent information related to the on-time delivery of product.
+ Understand hourly attainment of responsible areas and execute to the requirements.
+ Coordinates resources in area based on production schedule and standards, troubleshooting schedule changes throughout shift.
+ Execute LSW (Leader Standard Work) and audit requirements including, but not limited to, Quality and 6S.
+ Train in responsible area and ensure team members are properly trained/certified in all facets of their job.
+ Influence a culture of safety, positivity and collaboration within the team by providing them with objective/daily feedback.
+ Performance Management of a team up to 14 people.
+ Ability to build and/or operate in production to meet production pace requirements.
+ Responsible for shift hand off and communication with peers.
+ Support onboarding of temporary employees and new hires.
+ Work closely with the Associate Manager or Supervisor to provide feedback on team members in responsible area and may fill in for the Associate Manager or Supervisor as needed.
+ Assist in the interview process of new employees and temporary hires.
+ All other duties assigned by management.
Education & Special Trainings:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred Education:
Associate degree
Qualifications & Experience:
+ Five (5) plus years of relevant manufacturing experience, which could include manufacturing distribution or logistics.
+ Demonstrated leadership characteristics and capabilities.
+ Prior experience working off work instructions, contracts and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), preferably within in a regulatory environment such as the Food and Drug Administration, Federal Aviation Authority (FAA), Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), etc.
+ Moderate PC skills.
+ Excellent organization, planning and communication skills.
+ Ability to meet work schedule and meet overtime requirements.
+ Ability to communicate verbally and written content in English.
+ Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions and policies in English.
+ Ability to carry out verbal instructions.
+ Ability to adhere to safety related issues to include but not limited to good housekeeping and ergonomics practices.
