Summary About the Position: This position is located with the Department of Defense Education Activity, Headquarters, Elementary Education Division, Elementary Support Branch, Alexandria, Virginia. This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy. Responsibilities Serve as the technical expert for integrated systems used in educational and administrative functions. Coordinate with division specialists to support schools through procurement actions, provisioning of instructional resources, and aligned professional learning. Serve as the primary point of contact for high-priority correspondence and manage communication flow. Conduct compliance checks and recommend corrective action plans. Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and objectives. Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement based on data insights. Draft documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Education department, collaborating with stakeholders, assisting in the development of policy and/or strategic communication planning of Education initiatives, and delivering presentations on Education programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
