Job Title: Crane Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Crane Operator to join our team. Candidates will begin by training for several weeks, focusing on learning inventory locations, shadowing trainers, and understanding crane operations based on previous experience. The role includes both indoor and outdoor work, with exposure to varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

+ Train in inventory location and management.

+ Shadow trainers and learn color codes for steel placement in the warehouse.

+ Operate cranes for loading flatbed trailers and railcars, including rigging and inventory movement.

+ Perform general housekeeping and safety rule adherence in warehouse and yard environments.

+ Complete shipping reports and bills of lading, documenting all outgoing loads.

+ Possibility to train as a saw or brake operator and advance to forklift operator.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in heavy industrial or construction environments.

+ Ability to read a tape measure, verified by test or reference.

+ Capability to learn and memorize color-coded inventory systems.

+ Physical ability to walk 8-10 hour shifts and lift up to 50lbs.

+ Experience with overhead cranes or similar equipment in construction or heavy industry.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
