    Job Title: Welder

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Welder, where you will apply your expertise in MIG and pulse style hardwire welding on hard steel materials ranging from 3/8" to 4" thick. This role requires skilled ultra-sonic welding in a heat treat environment, demanding precision and high-quality workmanship. You will be responsible for your own setups, layout of fixtures, and fit-ups. As you progress, you will be trained and certified to weld all components of booms and other parts for concrete boom trucks. All welding is X-ray certified, ensuring the highest standards of detail and accuracy.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform MIG and pulse style hardwire welding on thick steel materials.

    + Execute ultra-sonic welding with precision and skill.

    + Handle setups, layouts of fixtures, and fit-ups independently.

    + Undergo training and certification for welding components of concrete boom trucks.

    + Ensure all welding is X-ray certified and meets high standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in MIG welding on heavy gauge materials.

    + Proficiency in pulse style MIG welding with hardwire .045.

    + 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in structural steel fabrication and TIG welding.

    + Familiarity with layout and fixture setups.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a laid-back, team-oriented yet hardworking environment. The shop is very clean, organized, and open, with a quieter atmosphere compared to other welding shops. You will find heavy cranes and machinery in motion, requiring awareness and independence. The standard schedule is 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with heavy overtime often available, typically extending hours from 5am-3:30pm.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
