Description

Tyto Athene is searching for highly qualified **Innovation Cell Manager** to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.

Responsibilities:

+ Oversees technical pilots, proofs of concept (PoCs), and rapid prototyping initiatives, ensuring alignment with DoD policy, cybersecurity requirements, and acquisition strategies. Provides strategic thought leadership, drives digital transformation initiatives, and cultivates a culture of continuous improvement.

+ Lead the establishment and management of an innovation cell focused on advancing DoD IT, cloud, and cybersecurity capabilities.

+ Identify and assess emerging technologies for potential adoption in mission environments (e.g., AI, Zero Trust, 5G, software-defined networks).

+ Plan, execute, and evaluate pilot programs, PoCs, and rapid experimentation projects across stakeholder organizations.

+ Facilitate partnerships with government labs, academia, and commercial tech vendors to accelerate adoption of new capabilities.

+ Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure innovations meet RMF, Zero Trust, and DoD SRG requirements.

+ Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and roadmaps for transitioning successful pilots into operational programs.

+ Report progress and outcomes to senior leadership, integrating lessons learned into enterprise strategy and future investment planning.

+ Promote a culture of innovation by mentoring teams, encouraging ideation, and removing barriers to experimentation.

+ Support 24/7/365 operations at Doral, FL, COOP, Exercises, and Deployments

Qualifications

Required:

+ 10+ years of experience and HS or AA/AS or BA/BS or MA/MS

Desired:

+ Master’s Degree in Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, or DevOps Engineering.

Certification:

+ Must meet IAM Level III, IAT Level III, and CSSP Auditor certifications.

+ Cloud Provider Preferred: AWS Solutions Architecture and Microsoft Azure Architecture
