Job Title: Production Planner
Department: Operations
Reports To: VP of Operations
Exemption Classification: Salary, exempt
Summary: To assist with the daily scheduling, planning and prioritizing of the BNU manufacturing and engineering team’s production activities to improve the business operation’s efficiency to meet our customers’ expectations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Generate and maintain a master schedule of projects, labor resources, part procurement, to ensure on time delivery of equipment and/or services to our customers.
2. Assisting with inventory control, issue/allocation of stock material, opening stock orders through NetSuite (ERP), or other production related tasks within NetSuite.
3. Understanding of business operations and assist as technical and procedural resource for the operations team.
4. Assist VP Operations/ BNU Manufacturing Manager with quality charts, excel spreadsheets, labor loading, etc… as required.
5. Lead the weekly production meetings
6. Assist with developing KPI’s to measure performance and drive continuous improvement
7. Generate, maintain and update daily, weekly and monthly production calendars for the operation teams
8. Liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing and internal Sales Managers to communicate project information and updates, open issues, delays, etc… to our external customers.
9. Participating in team events pertaining to operation efficiency and continuous improvement.
10. Assist other departments as necessary.
11. Other functions as directed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Will involve contact with the VP of Operations, BNU Manufacturing Manager/other departmental managers, and or/customers and vendors on an as needed basis
Qualifications/Skills: Administrative Writing Skills, Scheduling, Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects, Strong NetSuite capability preferred or other ERP experience, Verbal Communication, Time Management.
Education and/or Experience: College associate’s degree in business with a minimum of 5-7 years of job-related experience.
Language Skills: Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments, supervision and customers as to work in progress, problems and/or project completion/ship dates.
Mathematical Skills: Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers. College math is recommended
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: None
Physical Demands: Sit at workstation for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to adjust visual focus. May be required to reach, stoop and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to climb stairs as necessary. Some light lifting may be required. Will need to go into a shop environment on an as needed basis.
Work Environment: Traditional office atmosphere. Temperature standard. Quiet noise level.
