Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Reports To: VP of Sales
Exemption Classification: Salary Exempt
Summary: Generate sales directly and through the management of independent commissioned sales representatives in a defined US sales territory.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prospect for new leads and qualify them accordingly.
2. Sell machines, parts, chemistry and services when appropriate.
3. Recruit and train independent sales representatives as needed to cover the defined sales territory.
4. Maintain customer relationships in an effort to foster future sales.
5. Gather appropriate project information to enable the proposal group to properly prepare a competitive customer proposal package.
6. Negotiate pricing terms and conditions of sales to secure purchase orders based on limits / direction provided by executive management.
7. Follow projects through our laboratory, proposal, engineering, and manufacturing departments and intercede when changes and/or problems arise.
8. Supervise customer visits to our facilities.
9. Work with customers to resolve problems during and after the installation of equipment in their facilities.
10. Provide competitive and market intelligence to management as requested.
11. Maintain all prospect and customer information in our Salesforce.com CRM system.
12. Assist in keeping payment collections current.
13. Generate an annual sales plan for the defined sales territory.
14. Other functions as directed by VP of Sales.
Supervisory Responsibilities: General. No direct reports internally. Supervises independent commissioned representatives.
Qualifications/Skills: Capital equipment sales experience preferred. Sales of cleaning systems highly preferred. Drive and ambition to succeed is required. Ability to accept rejection on a regular basis is required.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 5 years technical sales experience.
Language Skills: Excellent English, both written and verbal.
Mathematical Skills: Commensurate with bachelor’s degree.
Reasoning Ability: Be able to quickly identify a potential customer’s pain and decide if they have the means (money) and the drive to eliminate that pain.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Physical Demands: Travel is a necessity and will be required for success.
