Position Summary Information
General Summary
TheBusiness & Operations Analystis responsible for supporting the operational business processes of the procurement office.
Essential Functions
+ Collects and monitors data for key business process metrics and implements improvement plans
+ Manages reporting metrics and tracking
+ Supports the procurement governance by providing necessary data
+ Implements processes to ensure data quality and integrity
+ Performs quality assurance and control reviews of procurement office team data
+ Reconciles data derived from various internal information systems
+ Implements fixes required to correct data errors
+ Develops, recommends, and implements operational process improvements
+ Completes root cause analysis on data error reports from procurement office systems and the related data of business units
+ Works with procurement office team functional experts to develop reports’ specifications
+ Collaborates with procurement office to update the intranet content of the procurement office team
+ Serves as power user for the procurement office business systems
+ Leads ad hoc projects as assigned by the Chief Procurement Officer
+ Provides input to software implementation recommendations to increase system efficiency
+ Completes gap analysis on opportunities for operational and continuous improvements
Other Functions
+ Trains and assists personnel in the use of Commission systems and databases
+ Facilitates and participates in meetings with other departments and lines of business as needed
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Work Environment And Physical Demands
Work is performed in a business casual office environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
+ Knowledge of Procurement Office regulations, business policies, and operational activities
+ Knowledge of the basics of Supply Chain, Procurement and Sourcing
+ Knowledge of business process design, data analysis and business performance measurement
+ Knowledge of strategic planning, project management and cross functional teaming
+ Functional knowledge of Materials Accounting Procurement System ( MAPS )
+ Familiarity with accounting and purchasing systems and their relationship to requisitioning, ordering and invoice payment
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
+ Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
+ Ability to motivate self and follow-through on a variety of projects
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field
+ 3+ years purchasing / procurement / sourcing experience
+ 2 years working with purchasing / inventory related information systems or data analysis and development
OR
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ 7+ years purchasing / procurement / sourcing experience
+ 2+ years working with purchasing / inventory related information systems or data analysis and development
Additional Requirements
Completion of the WSSC Water Financial Disclosure statement within 30 days of employment and annually thereafter
Preferences
+ Supply Chain experience in a water and/or wastewater utility organization
+ Related certification(s)
Salary$85,214 - $145,095
