Position Details:
Duration:This is a 3 Month contract position
Hours:40 hrs/wk – onsite 4 days work from home Fridays.
What to Expect as a Merchandise Production Assistant Manager:
The Merchandise Production Assistant Manager will be responsible for supporting the Production team through administrative tasks and systems support. They will develop and manage strong, open working partnerships with vendors/suppliers and cross functional teams. He/She/They will be the production support for all components of the business from development through shipping. You will achieve this through agile calendar and deadline adherence, tracking, monitoring and communicating all merchandise production requests and ensuring all projects are being sampled, tracked, approved, and moved into production in a timely fashion.
This role will work closely with Sr Manager and Director of Merch Production to cater to all requests related to production of goods.
+ Support Merch Production team for all designated UMG Labels/Artists.
+ Create UMG Label facing price quotes and vendor facing buy commits; outlining prices, style details and lead times. Track and update status of these on our work management platform.
+ Support the end-to-end purchasing process, including generating purchase orders, coordinating vendor submissions, and partnering with Finance to ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
+ Clearly communicate and follow up with internal and vendor/supplier partners
+ Oversee merchandise sample receipt and delivery, reviewing with necessary partners.
+ Compile and distribute Sample and Bulk Production shipping and packing lists, proactively reaching out to vendors in advance and passing details to internal cross functional partners, update work management tools.
+ Collate, review, and accurately recap shipping, sampling, costing information sent and received with ongoing follow up.
+ Attend internal cross functional meetings for the labels/artists within your area of responsibility.
+ Develop strong working relationships with your key internal and external partners.
+ Keep Merch Production Sr Manager and Director up to date on all statuses through formal Production weekly meetings and informal daily interactions.
+ Call out issues, identify any potential delays, roadblocks, challenges in timely manner.
+ Assist the Merch Production team on various additional special projects in conjunction with the daily responsibilities.
Qualifications for Success:
+ Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
+ 2-6 years of coordinator/assistant level support. Production experience would be beneficial.
+ Proficient with workplace and productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Monday, etc.)
+ PLM experience a plus.
+ Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Highly accurate, organized, thorough and calendar driven, while utilizing Monday.com and other internal tools and systems to stay on track.
+ Always partnering with clear communication to reach team goals.
+ Adept at working in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adapt to constantly changing demands and priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
+ Trustworthy with sensitive information including high security/confidential releases
Associate or Bachelor's Degree Preferred
+ 1-3 years Physical Supply Chain experience preferred, not required.
+ 1-3 years Music Industry experience preferred.
+ Strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
