Summary You will serve as a FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR for the NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH. Responsibilities You will function as a member of a responding team to all manner of emergencies. You will participate in investigations of causes and origins of fires by investigating damaged areas, conditions, and proper utilization of material presents. You will conduct fire extinguisher training with live fire for installation employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting inspections of all installation grounds and facilities for violations of fire regulations and codes; 2) Reviewing plans for new construction or renovation of property to ensure that appropriate fire prevention materials and equipment are included and that facilities engineering, contractors and other parties involved follow fire code and regulations when installing or modifying fire protection and suppression equipment; 3)Implementing training for personnel in fire prevention and fire safety topics; 4) Performing structural firefighting, provides emergency medical care at the basic life support level, provides hazardous materials response at the operations level. Certifications: Do you possess the following certifications? Fire Inspector I & II, Fire Instructor I, Firefighter I & II, Hazmat Awareness Operations, CPR and NREMT.
