SQL Systems Engineer

As an SQL Server Systems Engineer on our team, you will manage, build, and develop data management platforms for the Navy. Your responsibilities will include engineering support for SQL Server based and Power BI based workloads across Cloud based, and ON-Prem systems.

You Have:

+ 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly available Windows Server environment, including servers hosting Micro sof t SQL Server 2017, 2019, or 2022 in instances and clusters

+ 5+ years of experience managing enterprise reporting platforms such as SQL Server Reporting Services ( SSRS ) and Power BI Report Server, including report deployment, security administration, performance tuning, and service configuration

+ Experience leveraging PowerShell and scripting languages to automate server builds, SQL installations, security patching, configuration management, and daily operational tasks to improve efficiency and system reliability

+ Experience configuring and troubleshooting SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, backups, and disa ster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and meet RTO / RPO objectives for critical business systems

+ Secret clearance

+ HS diploma or GED

+ Ability to obtain DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP, within 30 days of hire date

Nice If You Have:

+ Experience applying systems engineering fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments

+ Experience with enterprise server, storage, networking, sof tware, and application services or equivalent depth in a single solution platform

+ Experience collaborating with other enterprise technologists both internally and externally to resolve complex technical issues

+ Experience supporting and coordinating across senior-level organizations

+ Experience mentoring junior team members

+ Experience with cloud-based systems

+ Top Secret clearance

+ Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or Engineering

+ CASP+ or CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
