    Position: Full-time Accounting Specialist

     

    Schedule/shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

     

    Pay Range: $15.75/hour to $23.00/hour

     

    Education and Training: Associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.

     

    Qualifications and Requirements: Two to three years’ experience in applicable field, working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

     

    Position Summary: Responsible for day-to-day monies and properly recording necessary transactions into the general ledger.

    Essential Duties:

    + Bank Deposits

    + Prepare bank deposits on a weekly basis – research incoming payments for the agency to ensure proper coding. Provide the billing team with payments in a timely manner to clear client AR’s.

    + Enter all deposits into Financial Edge’s general ledger system timely so that all month end reports can be generated and reviewed by upper management.

    + Purchasing for the agency.

    + Research various vendors for the most cost-effective price.

    + Coordinate all returns and replacement orders.

    + Enter monthly revenue and payments for North Country Freedom Homes into QuickBooks to assist in the process of creating month end reports for upper management and board review.

    + Process any Congregate Care Level II vouchers from various counties. Provide accounts payable with invoice processing slips to ensure residents receive their PNA funding from the county.

    + Maintain Inpatient residents safe. Keep all residents’ money in a separate safe when client is admitted to program.

    + Other duties as assigned.
