    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled **IT Project Manager** with a strong background in managing technology initiatives within a higher education environment. The individual in this position works closely with other members of the team to provide technology support for stakeholders via ticketing system and zoom room style help desk. This role will lead the implementation of IT projects that enhance academic, administrative, and research operations. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating cross-departmental teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering results that align with institutional goals.

    Responsibilities

    **Project Leadership** : Plan, execute, and close IT projects that support higher education objectives, including student information systems, research platforms, and administrative systems.

    **Technical Support:** The individual in this position works closely with other members of the team to provide technology support for stakeholders via ticketing system and zoom room style help desk.

    **Stakeholder Collaboration** : Work with faculty, staff, and administrators to define project requirements and priorities.

    **Resource Management** : Allocate resources effectively and manage budgets for multiple projects.

    **Technical Oversight** : Collaborate with technical teams to ensure projects align with institutional IT architecture and security standards.

    **Change Management** : Address project scope changes while minimizing disruptions to academic and administrative workflows.

    **Performance Monitoring** : Use metrics and tools to track project progress and deliver regular updates to leadership.

    **Risk Mitigation** : Identify risks early and develop strategies to manage them.

    **Compliance** : Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory, accreditation, and IT governance policies specific to higher education.

    **Continuous Improvement** : Evaluate completed projects and implement lessons learned to refine future processes.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

    Preferences

    Beneficial, but not required:

    PMP , PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.

     

    ITIL or higher education-specific certifications are a plus.

     

    Experience managing projects in higher education.
