    Caterpillar is seeking a 2nd Shift Logistics Production Manager in Sanford, NC. In this role, you will collaborate with the team, maintain, and improve processes, systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements.

    What you can look forward to doing in this role:

    + Report section status and monitors and audits related metrics

    + Drives root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement

    + Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metrics

    + Leads the creation, implementation and training of standard work procedures

    + Manage outbound shipments for multiple customer types, including processing, systems, and required documentation for overseas shipments

    + Monitor and improve shop floor safety, aggressively eliminating unsafe processes

    + Assures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules

    + Increases production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination

    A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills and have:

    + Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

    + Production Training: Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for delivering formal and informal training on the safe and efficient operation of production machinery; ability to conduct effective formal and situation-specific training.

    + Talent Management: Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees at the workplace.

    Top Candidates for this position may also have:

    + Supervisory or team lead experience

    + Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and tools, machine shop operations, equipment and processes

    + Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills

    + Exhibit critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative

    + Demonstrated knowledge of order to delivery, engineering and/or manufacturing principles

    The primary location for this position is Sanford, NC.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $87,480.00 - $131,280.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
