The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Lead the Strategic Planning process and drive the growth strategy of the Division by translating and aligning all functions and departments vision and help the Division to prioritize strategies and projects that allow us to reach our vision and strategic intent.
As the **Strategy and Growth Director,** you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
+ **Strategic Planning and Alignment** : Lead the Strategic Planning process by translating and aligning all functions and departments vision and help the Division to prioritize.
+ **Cross-Departmental Coordination** : Act as a bridge between teams (internal/external) to facilitates collaboration, ensures clear prioritization and resolves interdepartmental challenges
+ **Management System** : Desing and implement a Management System that allow the Division to have rigorous discipline to review and measure progress of lead and led indicators
+ **Project Management** : Oversee complex projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met without compromising quality
+ **Commercial Excellence** : Coordinate a global effort to standardize end user sales model into priority accounts by facilitating the Division to have a standard process, design, metrics and reporting. Lead customer excellence for ISD - this is a new process we are rolling out
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
+ Ten (10) years of relevant experience including marketing, sales, business development, strategic planning and/or finance in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
+ Effective communication and influencing skills, including ability to create and deliver professional presentations
+ MBA or Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
+ Comprehensive knowledge of 3M’s global strategy, business areas, structure and organization, as well as the external market (competitors, trends, etc.)
+ Knowledge and experience with the theories and practices of one or more disciplines such as market research, new product development, M&A
+ Ten (10) or more years of experience working in Portfolio Management or Strategy-related roles
+ Ten (10) or more years of experience working with and/or leading cross-functional teams
+ As preference, previous experience in the industrial markets
+ Ability to influence in a matrix organization
+ Experience building strategic and marketing plans
+ Understands and anticipates market data / trends and customer needs
+ Strong business and financial acumen
+ Results-oriented self-starter/self-directed leader with high energy and passion
+ Effective facilitation, communication and influence skills
+ A team player
+ Forward thinker and growth mindset
Work location:
+ **3M Headquarters, Maplewood**
Travel: May include up to 20% (2 to 3 weeks annual in total )
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $228,040 - $278,715, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
