    The Sr. Payroll Analyst is a hybrid position requiring one day in office at either our Valley City or Solon locations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

    + Provide support in all aspects of payroll under the direction of the Payroll Manager ensuring payroll processing timelines are met. Assist in the payroll process to ensure accountability for an accurate and timely payroll.

    + Provide support in the development and analysis of payroll data using system functionality, spreadsheets and other databases where appropriate and drive continuous improvement process.

    + Responsible for understanding the reporting requirements and utilizing system functionality for creation and development of payroll and ad-hoc reports, improving processes and analyzing payroll variances.

    + Exercise discretion of confidential and sensitive information

    + Know all internal policies and procedures to ensure they are adhered to regarding all payroll matters. Works, when necessary, with the legal department when necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.

    + Maintain payroll internal controls; ensuring proper procedures, policies and rules are applied to payroll activities.

    + Assist in year-end processes, reconciliation and W-2 processing.

    + Work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

    Requirements:

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Preferred 3-5 years of payroll/HRIS experience

    + Extensive knowledge of payroll rules and IRS regulations

    + Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing

    + Intermediate to advance MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) skills

    + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

    + Attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Ability to handle multiple projects

    + Changing priorities and be deadline sensitive

    + Excellent communication, analytical and mathematical skills, along with the ability to problem solve

    + Self-Starter who works independently as well as in a team setting

    Preferred:

    + College degree

    + Experience with SAP

    + Working conditions associated with normal office environment.

    + Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copier, printer, etc.).

    + Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups and settings.
