    Opportunity

     

    The primary function of the Spa Attendant is to supportthe supporthospitality service standards and commitment to customer service.

     

    FOCUS 1: Support the cleanliness and maintenance of the Kohler Waters Spa facility

     

    and equipment.

     

    FOCUS 2: Attend to food and beverage services and spa guest and member needs.

     

    Spa Attendant I associates must have excellent working knowledge of all positions, services, products, operations, systems, and procedures within the spa/salon. He/she must alsopossessknowledge of the Kohler resort and surrounding Village of Kohler. As with all positions, the Spa Attendant will work with all other spa associates to ensure client comfort and satisfaction. Our goal is to exceed our client expectations.     SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    FOCUS #1: Operational Tasks:

    + Support Spa Attendant IV position.

    + Attend to women’s or men’s (same gender as associate) Respite Room tomaintainorder,cleanlinessand amenities; replenish clean towel supply throughout the facility.

    + Perform rounds of the facility to ensure neatness and order.

    + Attend tothe Reception Desk located in the lower level to accommodate client check-in for sandals, robes and lockers.

    + Understand basic RIO system operations for “view-only” purposes, thereby providing communication of service times and availability of services to guests.

    + Gather used linens from treatment rooms and assemble for pick-up by The American Club laundry staff; distribute clean linens todesignatedstorage areas and/or treatment rooms.

    + Assistspa technicians with cleaning of baths between client treatments.

    + Support the maintenance staff with daily readings/testing of water in the Spa Relaxation Pool. Maintain neatness and order around the Spa Relaxation Pool lounge area.

    + Advise SpaHostesson food and beverage replenishment during the day.

    + Assist Group Coordinator with setup tasks involvingspecial grouprequirements. For example, setup of signage and message boards, etc.

    + Know and understand The American Club resort property and its businesses to provide information for guests.

    + Consistentlymaintaincleanliness of desk, reception area, retail centers, and if needed, flooring.

    + Keep spa technicians informed - do not assume ANYTHING!

    + Inform Supervisor ifadditionalstaffisneeded.

    + Responsible for knowing and performing proper opening/closing procedures as related to this position (see opening and closing checklist of responsibilities).

    + Provide food and beverage support and delivery of lunches, as needed.

    FOCUS #2: Operational Tasks

    + Perform host/hostessingtasks by escorting guests to respective areas within the spa.

    + Greet peopleimmediatelyupon arrival and confirm andcheck intheir appointments.

    + Answer questions about the spa and its services.

    + Be courteous,professionaland friendly when interacting with clients and associates.

    + Resolve customer challenges. Assure guests you will do whatever you can to accommodate their needs.

    + Maintain professionalism at all times.

    + Learn the basic operations of the RIO system for “view-only” purposes, thereby providing communication of service times and availability of services to the guest.

    + Assistspa technicians withlocatingguests, givingmessagesor communicating guests needs.

    + Maintain neatness and order around the Spa Relaxation Pool lounge area.

    + Assistwith setup of daily food and beverage amenities each day and their replenishment.

    + Assist Group Coordinator with setup tasks involving the group’s special requirements. For example, setup of signage and message boards, etc.

    + Know and understand The American Club resort property and its businesses to provide information for guests.

    + Consistentlymaintaincleanliness of desk, reception area, retail centers, and if needed floor.

    + Keeptech’sinformed, do not assume ANYTHING!

    + Provide food & beverage support andservice of lunchesto guests, as needed.

    + Participate in providing Bath to Bed service for Carriage House guests only.

    + Fax/mail information to clients, asrequested.

    + Assist Retail Coordinator, as needed.

    + Assistin sale of spa boutique retail items.

    + Use of daily spa service itineraries.

    + Notify Front Desk staff when leaving at the end of your shift.

    Spa Attendant I Standards:

    + Maintaina high levelof customer service for all spa guests.

    + Greet peopleimmediatelyupon arrival.

    + Know what services, and amount of time for each service, each tech performs.

    + Well groomed.

    + Be courteous,professionaland friendly.

    + Know the proper procedures for emergency situations.

    + Complete an on-site certified CPR training coursefacilitatedby Sports Core Fitness Trainers.

    Skills/Requirements

    + Minimum of high school diploma.

    + Prior computer and/or facility maintenance experience helpful. Customerservice relatedexperiencerequired.

    _The hourly range for this position is $12.10. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location._
