Your role and responsibilities
The ODM Developer will be responsible for identifying and documenting business rules and implementing them using IBM’s Operational Decision Manager (ODM), formerly known as ILOG JRules.
Developer will be client-facing and will work closely with VA stakeholders to understand nuances of business rules and subsequently update them in ODM as policy changes occur.
The developer will also work with other team members to build out a governance model for business rule implementation and ensure the model is organized and effective for both the technical team and VA clients.
Required technical and professional expertise
• 5+ years of experience working with Rules Engines and Business Process Management Systems
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) or one of its previous versions (ILOG JRULES, WODM etc.); Experience should be hands-on Rules Design, Rules Development and Testing experience
• 2+ years of experience developing Java programs
• +1 year of experience with RESTful APIs, including development, testing, calling them from other systems etc.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the US government
Preferred technical and professional experience
• 2+ years of experience with Appian Development
• Experience with Public Sector Clients (US Federal, Higher Education, State and Local Governments)
• General knowledge and experience with leading automation software products
