    Position Description:** **LPN - Inpatient

    **BayCare Health System** is currently seeking a **Licensed Practical Nurse** to join our outstanding and compassionate **Observation** team at **St. Joseph’s Hospital** . As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

    The LPN - Inpatient responsibilities include:

    + Working in collaboration and under direction of a Registered Nurse.

    + Responsibility for delivery of patient care as directed for assigned patients including medication administration, therapy and interventions.

    + Successfully complete the 30 hour Florida Board of Nursing IV course during the first two weeks of the LPN Internship.

    Qualifications:

    Certifications and Licensures:

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

    • LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license is required

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent and technical program completion or degree in practical nurse program or applicants who have successfully completed the practical nurse equivalency (PNEQ).

    Experience:

    • 6 months acute care as a Patient Care Technician, Practical Nurse Apprentice, or Practical Nurse Intern (or a combination of time within these 3 roles) or 6 months acute care as an LPN

    Status:** **Full Time, Exempt: No

     

    Shift Hours:** **6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

     

    Shift:** **Nights

     

    Weekend Work:** **Every Other
