POSITION DETAILS
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Enrollment Registrar Coordinator in the Graduation Audit Unit serves as a **Degree Auditor** responsible for reviewing and verifying the completion of degree requirements for undergraduate and graduate students. This position is critical to ensuring timely and accurate degree conferral, student record maintenance, and high-quality service to students, faculty, and administrative units.
Duties include but are not limited to:
+ Conducting audits of student academic records to determine graduation eligibility.
+ Conferring degrees upon verification of completed requirements.
+ Calculating Latin honors for eligible students.
+ Processing course substitutions, major/minor changes, and diploma mailing requests.
+ Manage graduation-related updates in CUNYFirst, including term activation, enrollment date placement, and transcript notations.
+ Updating student personal information such as primary names and email addresses.
+ Responding to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff via the Registrar audit inbox.
+ Assisting with record adjustments related to readmission, including program updates and record activations.
+ Supporting Financial Aid by verifying graduation eligibility and major requirements.
+ Participating in key campus events, including Graduate Salute, and serving on the Financial Aid Suspension Appeals Committee.
+ Performing other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Two (2) years of experience working in a Registrar’s Office, preferably in graduation audit or records-related services.
+ Proficiency with student information systems, especially CUNYFirst/PeopleSoft, DegreeWorks.
+ Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Knowledge of academic policies, degree requirements, and FERPA regulations.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
+ Experience working in a diverse college environment and demonstrating a commitment to student success.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Provides operational support for registration operations.
- Provides advice on academic and administrative registration requirements
- Interprets and communicates academic, registration and enrollment policies and procedures
- Assists with registration and provides information to prospective and enrolled students in registration and records-related areas
- Complies, generates, and updates various reports, catalogs, and inventories
- Maintains compliance with established record release procedures, including the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Collaborates with College and University offices to address inquires and concerns and resolve student registration and record problems
- May participate in activities related to course scheduling and maintaining course databases
- May monitor and revise the content of web pages and other communication materials
- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$65,946 - $68,245
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
