As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll work 1-on-1 with your clients inside their homes and in the community, and support them with the following types of activities:
+ Deliver safe, confidential, and respectful care at all times.
+ Provide verbal and/or physical prompts to support individuals in daily activities and promote independent living, such as working toward personal goals, meal preparation, cleaning, transportation, and social engagement
+ Accurately document progress toward individual goals and maintain timely and detailed logs during each shift
+ Collaborate with local office staff to ensure quality care
Eligibility Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent; **or** completion of a state approved training program; **or** demonstrate skills and have a passing score on a written competency test.
+ Completion of mandatory in-service trainings
+ Able to pass criminal background check.
+ Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
+ Performs tasks in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
+ Maintains a professional attitude and demeanor and communicates effectively.
+ Ability to work in a variety of environments, ambulate throughout a patient's home, navigating stairs and other physical barriers typical to private residences. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.)
_*$1,000 sign-on bonus is valid for applicants effective 1/1/2025. Sign-on bonus is paid in two increments: $500 is paid after the caregiver has worked 500 hours from the start date and another $500 is paid out after the caregiver has worked 1,000 hours from the start date. Caregiver must be active at the time of bonus payout_ **_and be at a minimum of an 85% electronic visit verification_** _to receive the sign-on bonus. Bonuses will be paid within 30 days of reaching eligibility. New caregivers as well as previous caregivers who have not worked for Help at Home since prior to 1/1/2024 will be eligible for the bonus. Caregivers transferring from an organization within the Help at Home, LLC portfolio of companies are not eligible to receive the bonus._
