Description:
Education
+ **Required:** Bachelor’s degree in medical technology (Clinical Laboratory Science) including completion of a clinical internship.
Credentials/Licensure
+ **Required:** Certification by the **American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)** or **National Credentialing Agency (NCA)** – OR – be **board eligible** with certification completed **within one year** of hire.
Related Experience
+ **Required:** None
+ **Preferred:** One (1) year of hospital laboratory experience
Skills & Abilities
+ **Preferred:**
+ Strong computer skills
+ Excellent customer service abilities
+ Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Computer Competency
+ Familiarity with standard Windows-based desktop systems, including:
+ Email and intranet tools
+ E-learning platforms
+ Navigation of lab-specific or EMR software as needed to perform essential job functions
Physical & Mental Requirements
+ Frequent **walking, standing (80% of the workday), and bending**
+ Must be able to **lift containers/boxes weighing 40+ lbs**
+ Role requires **attention to detail** and **focus** for all lab testing
+ Must adapt to **frequent interruptions** and changing priorities
+ **20–50%** of the workday involves **computer data entry**
+ Must be able to **pass a color vision test**
