• Electronic Security Design Engineer Manager

    Job Description

    Our client is seeking a Design Engineer Manager to sit in Windsor Mill, MD. This individual will be responsible for:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead the design and engineering of electronic security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercom systems

     

    Supervise installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and technical standards

     

    Collaborate with clients, project managers, and engineering staff to develop system layouts, blueprints, and technical documentation

     

    Conduct site surveys, system testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and compliance

     

    Manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting, ensuring delivery within scope and schedule

     

    Provide technical guidance and training to clients and internal teams on system operation and maintenance

     

    Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in electronic security systems

     

    Salary ranges from $95-115,000 based on experience

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or similar field

     

    5-7 years of experience in electronic security systems design and project management

     

    Previously worked as a field engineer/systems engineer or QC focused role within an electronic security environment

     

    Previous experience running an engineering group

     

    Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical principles, IP networking, and security platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Bosch, Hirsch, DMP)

     

    Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design tools

     

    Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
