    Job Description

    Insight Global is hiring a Data Analyst to join the gas engineering department with one of the most prominent utilities providers in the Northeast. This analyst is coming in to support case management and customer programs within the project management group.

     

    In this position, main responsibilities include cleansing and analyzing raw data from various sources using Excel, Python, and SQL then using that clean data to create dashboards and reports in PowerBi. The value of these data insights is two-fold: 1. To ensure compliance with regulators and 2. These are provided to executives and upper-level management for business insights and decision making across the company relevant to gas service installation.

     

    To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must be a self-starter that takes initiative, is highly analytical and attentive to detail, eager to learn new skills, and is a team player.

     

    This is a 6-month opportunity taking place on a hybrid basis, 3 days onsite in the Bronx. Working hours are 7:00am-3:30 pm. There is potential for extension or conversion at the end of the assignment dependent on business needs and performance in the role.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Bachelors degree

     

    - 1+ years of experience with data analytics (cleansing, mining, verification)

     

    - Strong Python experience with coding and programming

     

    - Highly skilled in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables)

     

    - Previous experience utilizing SQL to extract data from various sources

     

    - Demonstrated ability to create reports and dashboards using PowerBi

     

    - Excellent communication of technical findings to non-technical audiences - Previous experience in the utilities industry null
