Responsibilities

Ascension-Wisconsin is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) for our** **Internal Medicine department.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension-Wisconsin to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

+ Call Schedule is 1:5 with NO nights

Responsibilities:

+ Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.

+ Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.

+ Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.

+ Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted required.

+ Physician Assistant credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office required.

+ Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.

+ Orthopedic Physician Assistant. Verified by local Credentialing Office preferred.

Education:

+ Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program required.

+ Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

+ 1 year of experience preferred.
