Field Representative I, Fulfillment** **Position Profile
Provides operational support in a fulfillment center across various areas, including:
+ Operating high-volume printing equipment (Segment 5) for large print jobs.
+ Performing copying tasks, shipping/receiving, mail/fax handling, and applying postage.
+ Maintaining and repairing customer site copier equipment.
+ Performing bindery, quality control, final checks, housekeeping, file services, call center, reception, and light maintenance duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Operate high-volume printing equipment and perform binding/finishing work.
+ Set up and run all applications on all equipment.
+ Inspect convenience copiers daily for quality; clear jams and report issues.
+ Perform repair services on customer copier equipment.
+ Maintain records for reports and supply inventories.
+ Distribute office supplies, mail, and fax transmissions.
+ Calculate job charges and maintain billing logs.
+ Respond to and coordinate service calls.
+ Perform filing duties as requested.
+ Deliver completed jobs to designated locations.
+ Maintain daily meter and service logs.
+ Travel between customer buildings as needed.
+ Answer customer inquiries regarding job status or feasibility.
+ Keep copier areas neat and stocked.
+ Handle shipping and receiving of materials.
+ Set up meeting and conference rooms.
+ Assist with building occupant moves.
+ Perform re-lamping and light maintenance.
+ Occasionally perform cleaning duties.
+ Work overtime on nights/weekends as needed, including emergency response.
+ Use various equipment: shrink-wrap machine, paper cutter, bindery tools, jogger, tape machine, stackers, staplers, scales, copiers, calculators, fax machines, postage meters, and PCs.
+ Perform document purging and archiving.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ 2–3 years of related work experience.
+ Experience in high-production, mechanically sophisticated print environments preferred.
+ Valid driver’s license and minimum auto insurance coverage required.
+ Ability to learn complex production/communication systems (e.g., client-specific mainframe applications).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Working knowledge of copier and related equipment; repair experience preferred.
+ Understanding of shipping/receiving procedures.
+ Basic electronics knowledge preferred.
+ Ability to work independently and flexibly.
+ Ability to determine correct packing methods and verify packing slips.
+ Comprehension of mail delivery instructions.
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to read and understand technical manuals and publications.
+ Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
+ Frequent exposure to copier/fax noise, toner, and temperature changes.
+ Risk of paper cuts and exposure to weather when walking between buildings.
+ Daily contact with customers, employees, managers, and vendors.
+ High stress due to tight deadlines and quick turnarounds.
+ Physical effort including standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and pushing/pulling equipment (up to 400 lbs).
+ Walking between buildings may be required.
