Job Summary

The Senior ITAM Systems Engineer - Flexera will contribute to a team of ITAM Specialists working to assist SHI customers in understanding their Hardware and Software Environments.

The Senior ITAM Systems Engineer will focus on the following:

Provide implementation, configuration, and integration services on selected ITAM platform partners for SHI customers.

Perform daily operation support activity oversight on selected ITAM platform partner production implementations.

Support complex ITAM customer engagements by performing the discovery and collection of software/hardware inventory and partnering with SHI consultants to drive valuable customer outcomes.

Drive and contribute towards impactful change across the ITAM organization.

Provide thought leadership and mentoring to other team members.

This position will be office-based from either the Austin, TX, or the Somerset, NJ, office location on a hybrid structure.

Role Description

+ Design, install, configure, test, and document hybrid cloud services and network security solutions.

+ Proactively monitor system and network traffic to ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.

+ Configure, implement, and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.

+ Design and implement security, backup, and redundancy strategies and policies.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hybrid cloud infrastructure and network security.

+ Collaborate with clients, vendors, and other IT personnel to ensure seamless integration and problem resolution.

+ Participate in pre-sales activities, client demos, and proof of concept activities.

+ Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce human intervention.

+ Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

+ Act as a mentor to junior staff members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Skill Level Requirements

+ Knowledge and experience with domain administration (Active Directory, group policies, etc.).  - Expert

+ Knowledge of software inventory systems (like Snow Atlas, Flexera One, JDisc, SCCM, Alteryx, IBM Bigfix, etc). - Expert

+ Knowledge of and experience with operating system administration (registry, permissions, etc.) - Expert

+ Experience with and knowledge of cloud hosting environments and containers such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes, and OpenShift. - Intermediate

+ Experience in Flexera architecture design, server setup, and Beacon configuration - Expert

+ Strong understanding of API configuration and connector integration for data exchange. - Intermediate

+ Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, Proxmox, and vSphere. - Intermediate

+ Experience with and knowledge of non-Windows platforms such as UNIX/Linux, HPUX, AIX, Solaris, MAC OS, etc. - Intermediate

+ Skilled knowledge of database systems, Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Microsoft Server usage and language (read, understand SQL scripts). - Intermediate

Other Requirements

+ Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant work experience is required

+ 6+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure engineering, or a networking position

+ Experience with Flexera product set: Flexera One, Flexera Snow Atlas, FNMS

+ 2+ years implementing, configuring, and integrating the Flexera One & Flexera Snow Atlas platform

+ 2+ years of experience performing daily operational support for Flexera One/FNMS Platform

+ 3+ years of ITAM industry experience

+ Ability to travel up to 25%

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and

flexible spending.
