The College of Pharmacy is looking for a Program Manger to serve as a member of the Experiential Education team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. Qualifications Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Five years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
+ Prior experiential education experience, budget management and supervisory experience; Prior experience at assistant or higher level, supervising facilities and creating documents and reports.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to develop short-and long-range plans. Bilingual in Spanish and English is desirable.
+ Three year’s experience using PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
+ Ability to work as a team member, independently, and without close supervision;
+ Ability to meet deadlines and work in a shared office space.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Responsibilities
Program Operations
+ Provides daily operational management in collaboration with the Director of Experiential Education and Associate Dean for Clinical and Professional Affairs including triaging of student and preceptor needs, experiential education database administration, maintenance practice experience program communications, and working with the Office of Student Affairs relating to student records and requirements.
+ Manages the placement and onboarding of students at the experiential sites for IPPE, and APPE.
+ Communicates with preceptors, regarding availability to receive students.
+ Participates in periodic meetings of the OEE to discuss program proposals, developments and needs.
+ Develops and submits reports involving the experiential education program as needed.
+ Routinely assists with the prioritization of daily workflow, tasks, decision-making and communications of the Office of Experiential Education.
+ Serves as the primary CORE ELMS liaison.
Compliance and Reporting
+ Ensures compliance with the policies and guidelines of the Texas A&M University, Texas A&M Health Science Center and the College of Pharmacy.
+ Develops a system for continuous improvement of the experiential operating program that tracks and ensures quality and improvement of OEE learning outcomes, sites and preceptors.
+ Participates in accreditation and regulatory processes as appropriate.
+ Oversee student certification and immunization records in compliance with COP Requirements.
+ Oversee the completion of student IPPE and APPE rotation hours.
+ Oversee the completion and collection of all student and preceptor evaluations, during the IPPE and APPE experiences.
+ Communicates with students to resolve incomplete documentation of requirements.
Student and Preceptor Support
+ Identifies and resolves issues by promptly communicating with students and preceptors.
+ Assists experiential education students and preceptors in achieving their professional objectives relative to the experiential education program.
+ Assists the Associate Dean in developing and maintaining ongoing preceptor development programs and newsletters
Training Communication and Development
+ Ensures efficient and timely communication with experiential education students and preceptors in matters of mutual importance.
+ Assists the Associate Dean with issues and resolves related issues by communicating with students and preceptors.
Event Support
+ Participates in College programs such as white coat ceremonies, gradation, preceptor banquets, and preceptor training
