    Description

    The Idaho Lottery is seeking a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced, fun team, to serve the State of Idaho.

     

    The Idaho Lottery Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Clerk performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and packing Lottery tickets and various supplies, while maintaining a warehouse.

     

    Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Functions

     

    The following duties are normal for this job. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

     

    • Fill ticket orders using system guided pick/pack processing, daily

    • Verify the quantity and quality of order

    • Maintain the warehouse, including inventory of game tickets, organize in-stock games and rotate inventory

    • Ship, receive and unload daily freight, both manually and with a forklift or pallet jack

    • Check for damaged goods and verify items received with the purchase order

    • Assist Lottery Sales Representatives with office supplies and premium Lottery orders

    • May occasionally deliver and retrieve supplies to/from the Idaho Lottery office

    • Operate a personal computer to access, enter, and update information

    • Answer phones and provide information using customer service skills

    • Responsible for keeping a clean, orderly and safe work area, and ensure safety procedures are adhered to

    • Process scratch ticket partials and full returns

    • Perform other related duties as required

    • Shred tickets as directed

     

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

     

    Minimum (The required skills and qualifications needed to perform the job)

     

    • Good physical stamina to load and unload merchandise

    • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

    • Ability to pay attention to detail and effectively and efficiently manage deliverable deadlines

    • Good knowledge of safety practices

    • Certification in operating equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies, or willingness to obtain certification

    • Good communication skills – written and verbal

    • Basic computer skills with the ability to enter and retrieve data

    • Must successfully pass criminal, credit, and public records background checks conducted by the Idaho Lottery

    • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug tests

    • Must have a valid drivers’ license

     

    Preferred (Attributes needed for superior performance, specialty areas)

     

    • Experience in shipping and receiving

    • Certified forklift operator

     

    Working Conditions

     

    Perform job while standing continuously throughout an 8–10-hour shift; work in dusty dirty conditions; continuous use of hands packing tickets and lifting boxes; continuous use of a computer; occasional driving using company vehicles; frequent use of a forklift or hand truck.
