    Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an innovative and passionate Software Development Engineer to join our Business Product & Operations (BPO) team. You will be working on building and maintaining mission-critical applications that power AWS's global sales operations using native AWS technologies. You will have the exciting opportunity to architect and develop AI agents that will revolutionize operational productivity across AWS. You will come in as a key member of the team and will be essential in ensuring our applications and AI solutions are built to support Amazon's scale. This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern cloud-native architecture using configurable, federated, and horizontally scalable design patterns, while also leveraging leading-edge AI technologies. The platform leverages full-stack applications built using AWS native technologies, modern front-end frameworks, and intelligent automation solutions.

    Key job responsibilities

     

    In this role, you will

     

    - Design, develop, and deploy scalable, highly available full-stack applications using AWS native services and modern front-end technologies

     

    - Architect and develop AI agents and automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity across AWS sales operations

     

    - Lead technical design discussions and create architectural documents for new features and systems

     

    - Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while following team coding standards

     

    - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS services and industry best practices

     

    - Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions

     

    - Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members

     

    - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while maintaining high availability

     

    - Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems

    AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

     

    - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

     

    - Experience programming with at least one software programming language

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

     

    - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
