Basic Job Functions:

The basic functions of environmental engineers are as follows: 1) Demonstrate safety leadership. 2) Execute compliance reporting requirements for air, water, and solid waste. 3) Perform required environmental training for team members. 4) Manage continuous improvement projects.[[cust_safetyState]]

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, physics, or chemistry, or two years of environmental compliance experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Familiarity with industrial waste streams and associated reporting requirements

+ Knowledge of RCRA, NPDES, and CAA

+ Demonstrates an understanding of how environmental stewardship supports Nucors long-term success

+ Experience with ISO standards
