Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in managing customer accounts, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with expertise in accounts receivable processes and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update the Customer Master List, ensuring all customer information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Generate invoices from customer work orders and distribute them promptly to clients.
• Process and record customer payments, including checks and credit card transactions, while addressing any discrepancies.
• Regularly review Accounts Receivable Aging reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and format Excel reports for presentation to the leadership team.
• Generate and distribute customer statements, following up with communications as needed.
• Greet and assist customers and visitors at the front desk with professionalism.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages efficiently.
• Adhere to the company’s business management system and relevant processes.
• Provide support for additional office tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
• Proficiency in managing accounts receivable processes, including billing and cash applications.
• Experience with commercial collections and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Strong skills in using Excel for data formatting and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with business management systems or similar financial software is a plus.
