    Description

    Robert Half is hiring on behalf of a long-standing client in the autobody and collision repair industry located in Oceanside, CA. This client is known for its commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety, and a people-first culture. They are seeking a hands-on, bilingual HR Recruiting Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, blue-collar environment and is passionate about connecting skilled tradespeople with meaningful work. This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with shop leadership, technicians, and administrative staff to support full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is someone who’s not afraid to step into the yard, build trust with technicians, and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead full-cycle recruitment for skilled labor and administrative roles, from job posting to offer

    + Build strong relationships with hiring managers and shop leads to understand workforce needs

    + Conduct interviews, coordinate hiring events, and manage candidate pipelines

    + Support onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee engagement initiatives

    + Maintain compliance with California labor laws, OSHA standards, and internal policies

    + Assist with employee relations, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and leave tracking

    + Serve as a trusted HR partner across multiple shop locations

    Requirements

    + 2–5+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or people operations

    + Proven success working with blue-collar or skilled labor teams

    + Strong understanding of California employment law and HR best practices

    + Comfortable working in a shop or yard environment

    + Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of staff

    + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure

    + Familiarity with OSHA standards, benefits administration, and leave management
