Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial processes and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records. Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.

• Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.

• Perform bank reconciliations to verify transactions and maintain accurate records.

• Collaborate with other departments to support financial operations and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.

• Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and addressing queries.

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

• Suggest improvements to accounting processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations.
