• IT Security Specialist

    Robert Half Technology (Westerville, OH)


    Description We are looking for a well-rounded technical professional who can support both cybersecurity operations and day-to-day IT support. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in security best practices who also enjoys rolling up their sleeves to solve technical issues, assist end users, and maintain system health.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor security alerts via SIEM tools and respond to incidents

    • Conduct basic vulnerability scans and assist with remediation tracking

    • Help maintain internal security controls aligned with standards like TISAX and ISO 27001

    • Support development and testing of incident response plans

    • Work with IT and local teams to ensure secure configurations and user access controls

    • Assist with vendor risk reviews and security questionnaires

    • Maintain and organize documentation related to policies, procedures, and audits

    • Participate in phishing simulations and user security training efforts

    • Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 technical support for end users (hardware, software, network, printers)

    • Perform light hardware repair, software installs, and assist with troubleshooting

    • Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and system improvements

    • Track IT assets and keep inventory records up to date

    • Support the network team with basic tasks like wireless and firewall configurations

    • Contribute to the development of documentation, policies, and standard procedures

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

    • 3–5 years of experience in a blended IT support / cybersecurity role

    • Familiarity with endpoint protection, basic networking, and access management

    • Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint detection, and vulnerability scanners

    • Proficiency with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and common IT tools

    • Comfortable supporting users and solving technical problems across systems

    • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
