    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

    + Answer and route incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel.

    + Manage patient appointment scheduling using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

    + Verify patient information and insurance details, ensuring accurate data entry.

    + Handle check-in/check-out procedures, including collecting necessary forms, co-pays, and signatures.

    + Maintain and update patient records with strict adherence to privacy regulations (HIPAA compliance).

    + Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and insurance providers to coordinate administrative needs.

    + Assist with general office duties, such as filing, faxing, scanning, and managing correspondence.

    Requirements

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    + Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.

    + Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Strong multitasking and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.
