Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of international clients while ensuring efficient and accurate handling of accounts receivable processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and play a key role in maintaining financial integrity within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor account balances daily and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collections.

• Reconcile accounts by addressing incoming payments and reviewing deduction claims, coordinating with internal teams to verify charges, and disputing discrepancies with clients when necessary.

• Regularly review client portals to identify incoming cash or resolve trial balance inconsistencies.

• Prepare and share weekly open item lists during calls with relevant teams, and update collection trackers for management review.

• Manage a portfolio of 60-80 accounts, focusing on resolving past due balances and maintaining positive client relationships.

• Recommend shipping holds for accounts with significant overdue balances and assist in sending prepayment requests when required.

• Provide monthly account statements to clients and support audit-related activities as needed.

• Handle Shopify payment reconciliations and assist in resolving transaction issues.

• Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to address ad-hoc tasks and contribute to team goals.

• Ensure compliance and accuracy in all processes while maintaining detailed documentation for audits and management requests. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable and collection processes.

• Proficiency in Excel with a strong ability to analyze financial data.

• Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.

• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines.

• Prior experience handling chargebacks, deductions, and account reconciliations.

• Familiarity with account management practices and client portfolio oversight.

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and tackle ad-hoc responsibilities as they arise.
