Description

Join our team as a Mortgage Loan Closing and Post-Closing Specialist and play a critical role in supporting all mortgage loan closings activities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the settlement process, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations, and maintaining detailed records of post-closing and shipping functions. Your expertise will help ensure seamless coordination with closing agents, borrowers, investors, and internal departments alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Closing Tasks:

+ Prepare all required loan closing documentation and provide accurate settlement instructions to settlement agents.

+ Analyze loan files.

+ Review and approve settlement statements.

+ Coordinate closing details with relevant entities.

+ Generate loan proceeds correspondence, arrange wire transfers in collaboration with Accounting, and ensure proper ledger updates.

Post-Closing Tasks:

+ Conduct thorough post-closing audits and generate required compliance reports.

+ Ensure timely receipt of closed loan packages and monitor for completeness and accuracy from settlement agents.

Requirements

+ Strong interpersonal communication skills in written and verbal formats.

+ High attention to detail with proven ability to produce accurate, thorough work.

+ Ability to analyze complex problems, adapt in dynamic work environments, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

+ Competent in using PC applications, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and email.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage-related processing systems.

+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in first mortgage lending, including closing and post-closing functions.
