Description A boutique healthcare advisory firm is seeking a results-driven Vice President to lead strategic healthcare IT and operational consulting engagements with major health systems across the country. Our clients include integrated delivery networks (IDNs), academic medical centers, pediatric systems, and other complex provider organizations. We are growing and looking for senior leaders who can deliver measurable outcomes, build lasting client relationships, and guide organizations through digital transformation and IT optimization efforts. This role blends client delivery, relationship management, and thought leadership. The Vice President will serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare executives, oversee project execution, and help drive internal team development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment and is motivated by impact, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Lead IT advisory and transformation engagements, including: Strategic IT planning and roadmap development Operational assessments and performance improvement Application/vendor strategy and rationalization Cost optimization, especially non-labor IT spend Data-driven workforce alignment and benchmarking Serve as the senior advisor to health system CIOs, CFOs, and other executives Drive project execution while ensuring a best-in-class client experience Foster collaboration between client stakeholders and internal teams Identify follow-on opportunities within accounts through trust-based relationships Contribute to business development via detail oriented networks and thought leadership Requirements Ideal Profile: Experience: 10+ years in healthcare IT or operations consulting; 15+ preferred Minimum 5 years in client-facing detail oriented services roles Experience advising or supporting medium-to-large healthcare systems Familiarity with academic and pediatric health systems is a strong plus Expertise: Broad understanding of healthcare IT operations, governance, and digital strategy Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary teams and project execution Experience with vendor landscapes including Epic, Oracle Health, 3M, Notable, etc. Insight into digital health and AI-driven innovation High EQ, strong communicator, and client-focused mindset Business development capability through relationships and account growth Education: No strict requirement; clinical or technical backgrounds welcome Emphasis is placed on perspective, critical thinking, and executive presence Work Environment: This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote and client-site work depending on project needs.
