Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering a hybrid work model, with two days remote work each week. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing payroll processes and ensuring accuracy in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage full-cycle payroll operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Utilize UKG Pro (Ultipro) software to accurately input, review, and reconcile payroll data.

• Handle employee benefit functions, including deductions, contributions, and reporting.

• Collaborate with internal teams to audit payroll records and address discrepancies.

• Support accounting functions related to payroll, including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Assist in preparing payroll-related reports for management and external audits.

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and communications.

• Ensure timely submission of payroll taxes and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Partner with HR to manage employee data updates and resolve payroll-related issues. Requirements • Proficiency in UKG Pro (Ultipro) payroll software is required.

• Strong understanding of full-cycle payroll processes and related accounting functions.

• Experience with auditing and reconciling payroll data to ensure accuracy.

• Knowledge of benefit functions, including deductions and contributions.

• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with two days remote work weekly.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills for addressing payroll inquiries and collaborating with internal teams.

• Prior experience in payroll management within a consulting or corporate environment is preferred.
