Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Ana, California. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed journal entries and reconcile accounts, including cash, payroll, and prepaid expenses.

• Generate monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses to support management reporting.

• Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial close workbooks.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures, while maintaining adherence to established standards.

• Manage capital lease schedules and monthly payment tracking.

• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset ledger, including depreciation schedules.

• Conduct thorough month-end balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Perform recurring journal entries and intercompany transactions with minimal supervision.

• Analyze and interpret financial data, presenting it in a clear and actionable format for stakeholders.

• Contribute to departmental initiatives, ad-hoc reporting, and special projects as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Blackline, or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities independently.

• Experience in a publicly traded company or corporate tax return preparation is a plus.
