Description

We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role focuses on managing accounts receivable processes and ensuring timely collections to support the financial health of the organization. As a short-term contract to full time position, this opportunity offers a path to long-term employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming and outgoing collection calls to address outstanding accounts.

• Oversee billing and reporting tasks, ensuring all deadlines are met.

• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues effectively.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer files to ensure data consistency.

• Contact customers regarding overdue balances and log all interactions in the system.

• Accurately record customer payments and update relevant financial reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

• 2-3 years of experience in high-volume collections.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills paired with excellent organizational abilities.

• Proficiency in using accounting software.

• Knowledge of commercial and consumer collection processes.

• Familiarity with accounts receivable practices and billing collections.
