Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Clarence, New York. This is a contract position that requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual to manage accounting operations within a fast-paced construction environment. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processes and compliance while working closely with a small, collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and perform data entry into QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records.

• Process payments to vendors and ensure timely transactions.

• Manage month-end close procedures, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.

• Handle prevailing wage compliance and reporting.

• Maintain detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Collaborate with team members to address financial inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Support construction accounting processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards.

• Prepare financial reports and documentation as required.

• Assist in managing payroll and other financial operations.

• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or general contracting industry.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with accounting software.

• Solid understanding of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.

• Experience with prevailing wage compliance is highly desirable.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to thrive in an informal, collaborative work environment.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a small team.

• Familiarity with construction accounting processes is a plus.
